Policy Planning and Development Branch

This Branch is responsible for research and policy development in areas of national significance regarding infrastructure investment and nation building. Research, analysis and policy advice regarding financial barriers to infrastructure development and construction.

This Branch is responsible for rail policy, management of the rail investment program, regulation reform issues and oversight of the Australian Rail Track Corporation.

North West Roads Branch

The Branch is responsible for the legislation, risk management, strategies and the management of the Nation Building Program in Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia. The Branch is also responsible for the Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Program.
