Project Description

This project involves the reconstruction of damaged highway on the Nambour Bypass section of the Bruce Highway on approximately five and a half kilometres of the northbound carriageway and nearly nine kilometres of the southbound carriageway.

Benefits

Improved road safety and reduced travel times along this section of the Bruce Highway.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $35 million to the project.

Timetable

Construction commenced August 2009 and is expected to be completed late 2011.
